The commonest term in our society & day-to-day life. About 40% people are suffering from severe indigestion. As per Many sciences indigestion is the root cause of many diseases.

Starting from just Acidity there are many forms of indigestion. Many people ignore the symptoms of indigestion. But may it feel very small problems but it may lead to very severe conditions also.

Gastritis is the most common & chronic problem of indigestion.

The lifestyles most people following now-a-days is the main cause of indigestion.  One should never ignore the indigestion. If there is frequency of indigestion it should be early corrected with the help of medicine and lifestyle changes.

Ayurveda sciences is most practical approach regarding indigestion. Seasonal food items are also mentioned. The Ayurveda drugs are most effective for indigestion. Ayurveda science stresses more for digestion correction as indigestion is the door to many diseases.

During treatment of many diseases indigestion have to be corrected  firstly.

So indigestion though looking small problem but is very important to correct it. Indigestion is verychronic problems & needs much time to correct it so always be early.

What is the health? Most of the people says:- “absence of diseases is health.” But it’s not totally true. The exact definition of health is described in Ayurveda and it’s closest similar definition is accepted by WHO also.


This is the complete & detailed definition of health described in Ayurveda literature. As per this definition the following things should be in optimum state

  1. Absence of diseases.
  2. All doshas( vata, pitta,kapha) at their own contribution.
  • All vital organs & physiology at optimum level.
  1. Good Digestion Power.
  2. All normal physiological bio-chemical reactions.
  3. Happy, Balanced & Satisfied mental condition.

Our body is made of many countless things. Also it’s having many big & tiny organs. Also the nonvisible physiological processes plays most important role in body.

In all we can say that all body organs & their normal physiological processes make a harmony in the body. This harmony is called as Health.

Any disturbances in this harmony is termed as disease. These disturbances may be small or big.The symptoms may differ in every individual though the disease may be same & that’s the main key of person to person health. It’s also called as immunity of the person.

Also body has a property to correct the diseased condition by itself but it depends on the body i.e., Overall give & take relation ( Physiological Reactions ).

What mainly we can say; is that the physiology is the main backbone of person’s healthy or ill condition. It’s physiology which is mainly disturbs first & then it disturbs the anatomy of organ. There are very few diseases are in which firstly anatomy is disturbed & then physiology disturbs resulting diseases e.g., Congenital diseases, Trauma, Poisoning, etc.

We can say when the physiology disturbs at that time the weakest organ in the body disturbs most. So a specific organ is damaged & we say that he have the disease of the said organ.

Ayurveda has described very neatly about this in the above definition. Only Height & weight relation can’t  completely define your health. Also only absence of disease can’t completely  describe  healthiness.

So try to be fit & healthy,  instead of being happy that I don’t have any disease.

In Ayurveda literature they described the Prakruti concept. Every individual has combination of vata ,pitaa, kapha. The combination may in varying percentages but that combination in that body doesn’t  produces the diseases but any deviation in that combination produces the diseases in the body. So the parameters that are applied now-a-days for disease screening are not complete.

This is how the body is so complex. So in short what we have to see is that just follow the body’s demands in limited amount. & let the body (organs) do its work on their own.

We have to just help the organs to work; not to teach or force the organs to do the extra work of our wish.

Also the body is made up; so as to do most physical work but now-a-days we lightened the work with technology. So we are not doing much exertional physical work so as to maintain organ’s health. We have to do some regular exercises.

  1. Infections of Pathogens like bacteria, protozoa, viruses, etc.
  2. Some are hereditary diseases.
  3. Some are congenital means by birth.
  4. Allergical conditions causing disease.
  5. Disorders of many organs.

  7. Complications due to pre-existing diseases.
  8. Autoimmune diseases.
  9. Metabolic disorders.
  10. Genetic diseases.
  11. Iatrogenic diseases.
  12. Idiopathic diseases.
  13. There are so many factors which can lead you to disesaes what we have to follow is just a god timed lifestyle.


Common tips for healthy life

  1. Regular exercises as per your body’s need especially morning walk suits for all.
  2. Don’t bypass Meal. Nothing can replace your meal (e.g. salads, fruits, protein powder,etc) otherwise you will fall ill.
  3. Don’t drink plenty of water without body’s demand.
  4. Eat only freshly prepared food.
  5. Food eating timings should be (most of the time) fixed and regular.
  6. Avoid eating late night.
  7. Avoid spicy food.
  8. Take sound sleep at the night.
  9. Don’t be overstressed.
  10. Make schedule of work.
  11. Do follow some hobbies.
  12. Take a normal massage with oil once a week.
  13. Do some yoga (only anulomvilom).
  14. Try to have positive mind always.
  15. Follow natural things instead of artificially created things.
  16. Avoid Tea, Cofee, Coldrinks, liquor& other addictions.
  17. Avoid fast foods.
  18. Restrict salt intake. (especially for high BP patients).
  19. Always do Meditation.
  20. Eat only seasonal fruits.
  21. Most of the times use the grains for food that are commonly cultivated in your nearby area.
